GREEN ENERGY TIMES, Bradford, VT
March 2017 – Present
As a Contributing Writer for the Green Energy Times, I research, write and edit articles about renewable energy and sustainable living for online and print publication. Although I just recently joined the team, I have already learned a lot about renewable energy. It’s been a pleasure getting to use my skills and education to share news and spread awareness about an issue that I’m passionate about.
You can visit GET online at greenenergytimes.org.
I’ve posted some samples of my work with GET under Nonfiction Writing.
KOHL’s DEPARTMENT STORES, Salem, NH
Department Lead (Shoes)
September 2017 – April 2018
As the full-time lead of the Shoe Department, I was mainly responsible for executing and maintaining the visual strike points throughout the department and replenishing the department with newly-arrived and back-stocked styles. Through exceptional customer service, I drove in-store shoes sales, as well as online shoe sales by assisting shoppers in using the department’s Kohls.com kiosk. I coached part-time associates on department operations and assigned tasks to them as needed. Depending on the needs of the shift, I also covered other areas of store as needed, including the Home Department, POS, Customer Service and OMNI Fulfillment.
GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF NORTHERN NEW ENGLAND, Derry, NH
Shift Supervisor, Sales Associate
Sales Associate: August 2015 – May 2016, Shift Supervisor: May 2016 – July 2017
As a Sales Associate, I participated in effective day-to-day operation of all sales floor and back room activities, including merchandising, operating the cash register, recovering the sales floor and receiving, sorting and shipping new donations.
After I was promoted to the Shift Supervisor position, I was responsible for directly assisting the Store Manager and Assistant Manager with the store’s operations, while also assuming full responsibility for all store operations and employees in their absence. In addition to following general store-opening and closing procedures, I was personally responsible for managing the store’s eCommerce operations and was oftentimes in charge of managing the donated furniture department.
Interesting fact: GoodwillNNE’s Derry location receives the most donations in the state of New Hampshire–and sometimes the most in the entire agency (NH, Maine and northern VT).

NBCUNIVERSAL TALENT INFUSION PROGRAMS, Los Angeles, CA

As a former participant in the Late Night Writers Workshop, I was invited by NBCUniversal to help read and write coverage of some of the thousand-plus submissions that they receive for the program on a yearly basis. I read a ton of jokes and sketches and am responsible for flagging the bad packets while highlighting the packets that are strong enough to be reviewed by the next round of judges.
